The company name of MECHLE is composed of the first two letters of Merethe Christina Leutscher (called Christina Leutscher), who is the director and founder of Mechle.com.
Ms Leutscher has a great passion for buying and selling art and deluxe items and has extensive experience in the second hand market for design and fashion in both Denmark and Australia. For the past 20 years she has worked and lived in Denmark, Holland, England, Spain, France, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan and of course Australia. She wants to share a new and exciting business concept where buyers and sellers are invited to trade anything from art to vintage motorbikes, retro-style lamps to antique silk gloves and much more online, with an option for inspection of the items in a showroom.
In late 2005, Ms Leutscher went to Denmark and started trading in Danish designer furniture, lamps etc., and she shipped several containers to the Chippendale Auction House in Sydney, Australia. Professional sellers can upload their own photos and descriptions, while displaying their items in their own premises.
Buyers can review the items online in the comfort of their own home or visit the respective showroom(s). Check with the seller for opening hours.
All bids start at AUD$50 (Min. Reserve) except for certain items which do have a stated reserve price. However, Ms Leutscher is confident that there are great bargains and MUST HAVE items for everybody who has an eye for design.

Mechle.com - Profile of Media and Communications Manager, Chalotte Molvang
Ms Chalotte Molvang was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, and she has, like her colleagues, travelled extensively and lived in different countries and appreciated other cultures in the world. Ms Molvang spent her early childhood years in East Africa, and returned to Denmark to receive her education. As an adult, she has lived for significant periods of time in the USA, UK and Australia.
Ms Molvang has a great appreciation for design of any kind, and she is very excited about being part of an innovative company, introducing and communicating a new concept to the market. The key concept is the changing view on ownership of designer items with strong brands. Mechle.com is playing an important role in bringing quality design to the masses at affordable prices. Ms Molvang's corporate career includes 17 years in the IT industry working for Gartner (IT Research and Advisory Services Company), most recently as Vice President of Operations APAC, based in Sydney, Australia. Ms Molvang was transferred to Sydney in 1998 from Gartner’s European Headquarters in the UK. Ms Molvang held various positions in events management, direct marketing, and contact management database training from 1994 to 1998. Finally Ms Molvang was one of the first four employees who started up GartnerGroup Scandinavia in 1987 in Denmark. Prior to joining Gartner, Ms Molvang worked for IDG Europe and CBS Records (Sony Music).
Ms Molvang graduated from the Copenhagen Business School, Faculty of Modern Languages with the following degrees: B. Ling. Merc. (English) and Trilingual Correspondent (English/French).
